Growing in Faith Together: Guided Bible Studies for Individuals & Couples

Whether you’re beginning your spiritual journey or seeking to deepen your relationship with God and others, Scripture is a powerful tool to guide your heart, renew your mind, and enrich your relationships. Below you’ll find two structured Bible study paths: one for individuals and one for couples. Each is designed to be prayerful, intentional, and applicable to everyday life.


đź“– INDIVIDUAL BIBLE STUDY SERIES: “Walking With Christ”

Duration: 6 Weeks
Format:

  1. Opening Prayer
  2. Scripture Reading (read twice)
  3. Reflection Questions
  4. Personal Application
  5. Closing Prayer & Journaling

Week 1: Identity in Christ
Scripture: Ephesians 2:1–10
Theme: You are God’s masterpiece
Reflection:

  • What does this passage say about who I am in Christ?
  • How do I struggle to believe this?
  • How can I live today with this truth at the center?

Week 2: Trusting God in Uncertainty
Scripture: Proverbs 3:5–6
Theme: Surrender and direction
Reflection:

  • What area of my life is hard to surrender?
  • Where have I seen God’s faithfulness before?

Week 3: Overcoming Anxiety
Scripture: Matthew 6:25–34
Theme: Seeking first the Kingdom
Reflection:

  • What do I tend to worry about most?
  • What does it look like to seek God first today?

Week 4: Perseverance in Trials
Scripture: James 1:2–4
Theme: Growth through hardship
Reflection:

  • How can I shift my mindset during difficulty?
  • What virtue is God inviting me to grow in?

Week 5: God’s Presence in Solitude
Scripture: Psalm 46:10
Theme: Be still and know
Reflection:

  • When do I feel closest to God?
  • How can I create more space for silence and stillness?

Week 6: Called to Holiness
Scripture: 1 Peter 1:13–16
Theme: A life set apart
Reflection:

  • Where do I feel called to grow in holiness?
  • What small step can I take today?

đź’Ť COUPLES BIBLE STUDY SERIES: “Rooted in Christ”

Duration: 6 Weeks
Recommended Frequency: Weekly or biweekly

STRUCTURE OF EACH SESSION:

  1. Opening Prayer: Pray aloud together.
  2. Read the Scripture: Slowly read the selected passage (twice if needed).
  3. Reflect & Share: Use the guided questions to reflect and dialogue.
  4. Application: Discuss how the Scripture applies to your relationship.
  5. Closing Prayer: Thank God, pray for each other, and any shared intentions.

Week 1: Christ at the Center
Scripture: Matthew 7:24–27
Theme: Building your relationship on the rock of Christ
Reflection:

  • What does a “firm foundation” in Christ look like for us?
  • What “storms” have tested or could test our relationship?

Week 2: Love That Reflects God
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:4–7
Theme: The true nature of love
Reflection:

  • Which part of this love challenges me?
  • How can I better love you with patience and kindness?

Week 3: Mercy and Forgiveness
Scripture: Colossians 3:12–15
Theme: Putting on the virtues of Christ
Reflection:

  • How do we currently handle conflict?
  • Do we find it easy to forgive? Why or why not?

Week 4: God’s Plan for Marriage
Scripture: Genesis 2:18–24
Theme: Unity and complementarity
Reflection:

  • How do we help each other become who God created us to be?

Week 5: Serving Together
Scripture: Philippians 2:1–4
Theme: Humility and mutual service
Reflection:

  • How can we serve one another better this week?
  • Are there ways we can serve our community together?

Week 6: A Covenant, Not a Contract
Scripture: Ephesians 5:21–33
Theme: Marriage as a reflection of Christ and the Church
Reflection:

  • How do we live out self-giving love?
  • What kind of legacy do we want to build together?

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS:

  • Couples’ Prayer Journal: Write shared prayers or insights weekly
  • Weekly Adoration/Mass: Attend together
  • Spiritual Retreat: End with a weekend retreat or confession night

Whether you’re studying alone or with your spouse, these Bible studies are a starting point to encounter God more personally and grow in holiness.
